IDB2609 - Senior Associate, Fintech Analyst (ICD)

Role Purpose

To develop ICD FinTech strategy and enhance ICD internal or external processes, by analyzing the business requirements/trends and translating it to technical team to deliver Fintech solution and aligned with the core business systems.

Key Functional Accountabilities and Activities

Technology and service setup:

• Produce and analyse business cases for ICD to adopt relevant financial technologies.
• Develop solution architecture designs for ongoing mobile and financial services projects.
• Design product and solution delivery roadmap.
• Conduct analyses and insights for top fintech areas including Regtech, blockchain platform to create forward-looking strategy and roadmap.
• Apply best IT Services Management practices as per globally recognized standards such as ITIL.

Operations and Partnership Management:

• Analyse business issues and propose suitable solutions using fintech technologies to resolve them.
• Develop partnerships with fintech start-ups and strengthen the relationship with existing clients.
• Gather clients’ FinTech requirements to form a complete Fintech solutions proposal.
• Implement Fintech projects/initiatives internally and externally according to the approved roadmap and budget.
• Implementation of Islamic core banking systems.
• Develop and implement Islamic finance products and services.
• Design, Perform and Maintain continual development model for all FinTech related projects while considering the Four Dimensions.
• Prepare, Design, and Evaluate Services Level Agreements (SLAs).

Knowledge Management:

• Develop and compile a roadmap for the adoption of future technologies for digital transformation capitalizing on fintech technologies such as blockchain, AI and machine learning.
•  Participate and support Fintech events and hackathons.
• Participate in conducting financial products research using Blockchain, Bigdata. AI and machine learning platforms.
• Coordinate training to clients on Fintech projects.

 

Qualifications/ Professional Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in Information Technology with focus on FinTech/with FinTech exposure.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Science or any relevant discipline is a must.
• Internationally recognized professional certification (Accredited Certificates) such as ITIL or PMP or any additional relevant qualification is a must.
• Proven experience in leading digital (mobile, web, smart apps, etc.) application development projects
• Involved or led emerging FinTech platforms and technologies such as distributed ledger technologies (i.e. blockchain), digital banking, mobile payments, tokenization, artificial intelligence (digital assistants and chatbots), etc.
• Previous experience in Application development and scripting knowledge would be an added advantage.

Language Skills

Capable of communicating in two of the working languages (Arabic, English and French) of which English is a must.
