Job Purpose:

The role involves providing strategic and regular day to day services, from HR perspectives, in relation to efficiently managing internal staff conflicts and internal disputes, grievances and disciplinary matters; all in compliance with the relevant internal governing instruments, including but not limited to the Articles of Agreements, Staff Regulations, relevant policies, rules and procedures, the grievance and the Staff Disciplinary mechanisms and the Administrative Tribunal of the IsDB Group.

Assists staff of HRMD, the Litigations and Internal Disputes units in efficiently performing their respective function in relation to managing internal conflict and disputes and defending the interests of the IsDB.

Key Accountabilities:

Case Management:

  • Collect, analyze, and report on all data, information, and records relevant to each and every case within the context of internal conflicts and disputes, at all stages of a case.

  • Investigate the facts of matters.

  • Responsible for efficiently managing, within HRMD, the administrative aspects of employee grievances and disciplinary matters.

  • Manage the grievance tracking system to create and maintain case records, securely store documents, facilitate communication, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

  • Assist HRMD in managing cases at various stages of the dispute resolution system.

  • Liaise with current staff members to discuss and seek resolutions for staff members' cases.

  • Handle compulsory conciliation matters initiated by staff and provide support in administrative review and appeal cases.

  • Participate in addressing issues related to workplace culture, diversity, and inclusivity.

Reporting:

  • Prepare quarterly reports and one annual report and offer comments and recommendations for improving bank HRMD policies and procedures related to internal conflict and disputes.

Policy Advisory and Management:

  • Provide continuing advice to HRMD on relevant HRMD policy initiatives.

  • Advise HRMD on internal conflicts and disputes related issues r that may be raised by staff.

  • Keep abreast of and coordinate with the peer organizations, from HR perspectives, on matters related to internal conflict and disputes.

Training and Awareness:

  • Participate in the preparation and review of information documents and events to all staff on internal conflict and disputes.

  • Participate in the preparation and provision or awareness and training sessions on internal conflict and disputes.

Administrative Advisory:

  • Prepare advice on Human Resources and administrative matters, with a view to facilitating early resolution of disputes.

  • Provide advice on the interpretation and application of staff regulations and rules, prepare draft amendments to these regulations and rules, and analyze and evaluate human resources policies and practices.

Academic and professional qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Law, Business Administration or any related degree.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in civil service, human resources, or internal conflicts and/or disputes, preferably in a multi-lateral sector or global self-regulated MDB/IFI.

  • SHRM,CIPD, or other HR certifications, and\or CCEP (Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional), or other certifications from an International Law certification body is preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years of managerial / supervisory experience is required.

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
