SECTION I: JOB PURPOSE:

This role is responsible for supporting the development of ITFC’s Advisory business. This role is responsible for supporting ITFC’s Advisory business generation in OIC member countries. This role is intended to support managing client relationships and process the end-to-end implementation of the Advisory projects under the guidance and supervision of the respective Senior Manager. This includes taking care of administrative requirements, system entries, filing, preparing communications and legal documentation handling for Advisory projects.

SECTION II: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Core Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Advisory Managers throughout the Advisory project cycle, from business generation to closure, and coordinating all communications with the clients.
  • Support conducting due diligence on prospective business and conduct the KYC/AML/CFT checking in a robust manner. Support the arrangement of business missions and join such missions to validate key aspects of the concerned clientele, as required. Conducting thorough reviews of client profiles and related documentation.
  • Following up on leads for Advisory business under the supervision of the concerned Manager, building an understanding of the client needs and drafting the Advisory proposal in line with the relevant guidelines at ITFC.
  • Liaising with prospective clientele to secure approval on the proposed Advisory service and initiating amendments, if needed, in line with the relevant guidelines at ITFC.
  • Developing the detailed Advisory proposal and clarifying the project's milestones and timeline.
  • Forwarding the documentation to the ITFC Legal department and following up with them to receive agreements/contracts in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to the presentation of prospective Advisory projects to the concerned approving Committee at ITFC and work to secure approval for the implementation of the Advisory projects.
  • Liaising with ITFC Advisory clients to secure the required documentation.
  • Support Advisory Managers in developing an in-depth understanding of the target clientele. Gaining insight into the economic, political, social, and regulatory factors impacting the ease of facilitating international trade across the member countries. 
  • Support Advisory Managers in developing market intelligence to build an understanding of the predominant players In the Advisory Services market, and their offering across member countries.
  • Liaising with prospective clientele and ITFC Regional Hubs to build awareness around the nature of Advisory Services offered by ITFC and its salient features. 

SECTION IV: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, economics or trade policy or other similar fields.
  • A Master's degree in a relevant field is a strong plus

Language Skills:

  • English and another IsDB working language (French or Arabic) are compulsory.
  • A third IDB working language (French or Arabic) is preferable.

Years of Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience
