IDB3067 - Cloud Architect Lead

• Set the strategy, direction, and operating model of the IMDT cloud first strategy including cloud architecture, cloud adoption roadmap, cloud transformation programs/projects cloud service provider engagement and cloud operations in alignment with the IsDB business vision and strategy
  
  
• Design and continuously improve the IsDB cloud architecture to support cloud solutions, cloud infrastructure and information management and digital innovation in line with industry standards, benchmarks, and regulatory requirements
  
  
• Manage cloud transformation programs and projects to deliver business value to IsDB for efficiency, flexibility, speed, security, and resiliency

• Establish cloud service engagements with qualified, international providers covering the full cycle from sourcing, selection, negotiation and contracting and setting performance and quality metrics for service delivery
  
  
• Drive the adoption of cloud security capabilities to reduce and mitigate cyber risks and threats by implementing advanced cloud security capabilities that support the protection, detection, response, and recovery principles of cybersecurity in line with industry standards and IsDB policies
  
  
• Understands and adheres with the overarching architecture framework, standards, governance models, blueprints and processes; and provides recommendations to enhance further specifically related to cloud and security.
  
  
• Defines and maintains the cloud and security architecture in alignment with the enterprise architecture, IT strategy and aligns the business requirements with technical security solutions.
  
  
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders in Technology Operations, Solution Delivery, Strategy and Governance and Business Technology to share knowledge and understand business and technical challenges and align cloud solutions that address the business and technical requirements
  
  
• Study the adoption practices across International Financial Institutions and other relevant organizations on the experiences with cloud adoption and cloud operating models
  
  
• Promote the change and transformation in policies, processes and skills that are needed to transition and benefit fully from cloud capabilities through presentations, workshops and working groups across senior management, business process owners, assurance functions and IT teams

• Promotes IsDB-wide awareness and adherence to the cloud and security architecture artefacts, providing training and awareness as required.

• Manage the team to ensure the effective achievement of functional objectives through leadership of the team, setting team and individual objectives, conducting regular meetings, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback, and appraisal to maximize team member and team performance

Academic and professional qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. 

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in information technology focused on infrastructure and security.
• 4+ years of experience in implementing and operating cloud infrastructure.
• Minimum 3 years of Managerial experience.

Language Requirements:

• English language - Required
• Arabic language - Preferred.
• French language - Preferred.

• Managing cloud migration and cloud infrastructure implementation projects with more than one leading cloud services provider
