IDB2564 - Business Continuity Management Specialist

To assist the alternate facility, critical application systems and support necessary to effect business continuance in the event of a disaster / incident (e.g. natural disasters, terrorism, crime, fire, computer / human error or others) that interrupts the IsDB Group or any part of it from performing its functions or some other emergency situation which would impact regular operations at IsDB Group. This includes understanding and participating in disaster recovery and coordination among IDB Group members and departments during crises. 

•  Participates in supervise the implementation of Business Continuity Management strategy across IsDB Group. 
•  Prepare the business continuity and recovery programs, and under guidance from the Management, enhance the business contingency plans, including enacting crisis-mode of operations for IsDB Group (affecting the business processes, the IT systems or applications). 
•  Prepare IsDBG departments’ assessment of potential business impact (Business Impact Analysis), definition of critical functions/processes, and design, development, and documentation of business continuity plans.
•  Assist to provide a comprehensive ability for IsDB Group to recover from a crisis and return its systems and operations with minimal operating risk.
• Oversee the team responsible for planning and implementation of the IsDB Group contingency plans for providing manual procedures development to mitigate any risk associated with complete or partial failure of IsDB Group facilities, IT systems, or applications due to a crisis.
• Prepare the critical processes/functions of key departments can continue to manage the IsDB Group’s assets and maintain operations during a crisis. 
• Assist the secretariat of Standing, technical and any other BCM committees. 
• Prepare the testing and exercising of business continuity plans and systems at IsDB Group.
• Participate in communications between key departments during a crisis including: Administrative Services Department, Information Technology Department, Human Resources Management Department etc.
• Interact with the critical staff and teams for the purpose of planning, directing, controlling, and maintaining the contingency planning effort during the crisis. 
• Review current business continuity projects for IsDBG to have a holistic view of overall BCM efforts 
•  Assist organizational business continuity programs as required based on assessment outcomes such as ISO certification.
• Understand current state risk assessment prior to BCM project initiation phase
• Coordinate and communicate with project stakeholders to track progress on implementation of projects 
• Prepare the periodic status updates to management on current projects
• Support to mentor and provide coaching to team members 
• Generate commitment, motivation and enthusiasm within the division
• Assist team members creativity and innovation 
• Participates in knowledge sharing and research capability for the team members 

Academic qualifications and experience;

• • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology or any relevant field
  • 5 years BCM experience or relevant experience.
  • Basic knowledge in Business Continuity Management
  • Business Continuity Management (BCM) certification (preferred)
  • Business improvement certification or experience (preferred).
  • Crisis and Disaster Management (preferred)
