IDB2439 - LEAD CONTENT SPECIALIST

Job Role

Ensure the accuracy and quality of IsDB’s communications output.

Key Accountabilities

•  Responsible for overall quality and accuracy of all content and data published via official IsDB communications channels. 
•  Responsible for fact checking data points on all communications – documents, social media, film content, speeches, etc. – especially in relation to financial and economic data
•  Develop and maintain key documents used by colleagues as reference points for communications activity, advising colleagues on IsDB statistics and data
•  Source data and insights as needed for marketing and communications campaigns, with support from colleagues
•  Edit complex financial and economic data into clear, accessible copy
•  Build relationships with key colleagues within IsDB to source or fact check relevant data or insight
•  Able to handle commercial data with discretion and confidentiality
  

Job Requirements

Academic qualifications
• Masters degree and Bachelors degree in economics or similar required.

Languages
• English (Mandatory)
• Arabic (Preferred)
• French (Preferred)

Minimum number of years and nature of experience
•10+ years in an economist role at a major global organisation or business 
• Good understanding of external and internal communications and IsDB landscape
• Excellent attention to detail

Job specific competencies
• Solid grasp of data and analytics, with an ability to use data to inform story telling 
• Data visualisation skills desirable
• Well organised with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
• Critical thinker who is able to interrogate and fact check data in order to ensure succinct and accurate copy
