Role Purpose:

Promote and protect the IsDB brand and its leadership through the development and delivery of a strategic PR and communications strategy 

 

Key Accountabilities and Activities:

  • Lead the development of a PR and communications strategy for IsDB, to raise awareness about the organisation in target markets and engage key stakeholders
  • Maintain oversight across all communications areas including member country and stakeholder management, content creation, digital, PR and external affairs
  • Accountable for IsDB’s internal and external communications, ensuring the production of consistently high-quality content
  • Manage IsDB’s presence in regional and membership country media 
  • Conduct and moderate press conferences as required
  • Build IsDB editorial relationships with influential global media and member country media at senior and editor level
  • Ensures consistency of messaging externally and internally across all channels against KPIs 
  • Advise senior stakeholders on media handling and conduct media briefings
  • Manage and respond to reactive enquiries, including issues and crisis communications which may involve out-of-hours work
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the marketing division to develop fully integrated campaigns
  • Grow awareness of the IsDB globally, including non-member countries, with key stakeholders and identify new opportunities to tell the IsDB story 
  • Secure extensive on-message coverage with support from the team
  • Develop and coach the newly-formed communications team

 

Job Requirements:

Academic qualifications
• Master’s degree in Marketing/branding
 
Languages
• English (Mandatory)
• Arabic (Preferred)
• French (Preferred)
Minimum number of years and nature of experience
• 12+ years of relevant experience in managing marketing functions, building a marketing/branding strategy
