PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

This role is responsible for articulating and driving the HR strategy of the organization in line with ICD's business needs & objectives. This role is responsible for planning & implementing initiatives that support the creation of an engaged workforce by articulating the talent acquisition, performance management & rewards, learning & development and overall talent management philosophy for the organization. This involves playing an advisory role to the CEO on people management practices and developing a leadership pipeline.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES OF THE ROLE:

Developing and implementing the HR Strategy in alignment with ICD strategy and business direction and monitoring implementation progress to enable the achievement of organizational and departmental goals

Developing and implementing transparent HR policies & practices that build a positive work environment, promoting an organization culture that supports the business strategy and company values

Setting the direction for the entire HR department by providing guidance and support to the talent acquisition, performance management & rewards, learning & development, talent management and operations teams

Working closely with the Recruitment Manager in designing and implementing the talent acquisition strategy in order to address ICD's talent needs in a timely and efficient manner. Incorporating a healthy mix of recruitment channels like advertisements, online portals, employee referral schemes, Campus recruitment (Young Professionals Program) to source talent in line with organizational requirements and culture.

Institutionalizing a performance culture by focusing on goal setting, timely performance reviews and feedback in ICD. Working closely with the Performance & Rewards Specialist in tracking adherence to the Performance Management Cycle and timelines.

Working closely Performance and Rewards Specialist in the development and implementation of ICD's rewards strategy and compensation policy with a view to recruit, reward and retain the right talent. Driving periodic market benchmarking of rewards systems to secure external/market parity and the enable retention of key talent

Developing and maintaining a robust Competency Framework for ICD in line with its values, organizational strategy and success factors for employees and defining linkages to the Recruitment, Performance Management, Training and Leadership development processes

Working closely with the Talent Manager in designing and implementing ICD's Talent Development strategies that concentrate on building employee capability and a robust leadership pipeline at ICD

Building awareness of prevailing best practices in the people management domain, and driving their implementation at ICD

Fostering a culture of learning and institutionalizing knowledge sharing by facilitating platforms for knowledge sharing across the organization, such as seminars, sharing best practices, top team forums, newsletters etc

Providing consulting support to portfolio companies and channel partners on HR systems and processes, as required

Participating & providing inputs in various committees, as applicable to the role

Formulating department budgets in conjunction with organizational budget , tracking expenses and ensuring adherence

Managing the team by recruiting suitable talent, evaluating their performance, providing feedback on an ongoing basis, identifying development needs and coaching them to ensure capability development

KEY OUTPUT / RESULTS FROM THE ROLE (KPI’S):

Implementation of HR Strategy as per plan

Attrition percentage vis a vis the market (Involuntary Turnover for the organization)

Training: % of Employee coverage & Training maydays for ICD

Retention of key talent at ICD

Succession Plans for all key positions

Timely completion of performance evaluation and feedback for the HR team

Training man-days for the HR team

Qualifications:

MBA or relevant Post Graduate degree with HR specialization

Experience:

13 years of HR experience, preferably a part of it in a Financial services set-up. GCC experience is an advantage
