Role Purpose:

- The job holder is responsible for providing advice, guidance, coordination and follow up on strategic and operational HR related tasks that include support to the business activities along central HR processes, such as job design and grading functions, workforce planning, recruitment, new hire on-boarding, leadership and staff development, talent management, performance management, succession planning, compensation, and employee relations.

- To be responsible for the translation of business needs into HR solutions within the supervised department and to provide guidance and support to the business on HR related matters.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Understands the business challenges of IDB and the supervised business in particular, anticipates workforce trends and risks, and advises the leadership team on how to adequately address these
  • Supports the implementation of the People Strategy, the Human Resources Strategy and related policies/ plans within the supervised business to promote IDB as an attractive place to work and to retain staff for satisfying its business needs
  • Acts as the representative of the supervised business towards the conceptual work of HR Center of Competences
  • Advises business leaders on operative decisions and on strategy/initiative implementation (e.g. expansion, downsizing, restructuring, outsourcing) from an HR perspective, helps to shape and manage decisions and processes, dives change and pro-actively supports business transformation
  • Supports the business with the coordination of activities along central HR processes, including job design and grading functions, workforce planning, recruitment, new hire onboarding, leadership and staff development, talent management, performance management, succession planning, compensation, and employee relations
  • Supports the identification of talent within the supervised business
  • Provides input to the HR Center of Competence Sourcing & Recruiting to develop suitable sourcing & recruiting strategies 
  • Coordinates all HR related tasks with regards to expatriation and impatriation within supervised business
  • Supports the implementation of policy frameworks and standards for internal staff recruitment and redeployment system, ensuring that the mechanism is transparent, credible and competitive with similar organizations and relevant markets
  • Defines mid and long-term staffing requirements and advises recruitment and training measures with business
  • Participates in the candidate selection process for assorted positions 
  • Ensures consistent use of HR processes across the supervised business (incl. Talent, Performance, Compensation and Learning Management, strategic workforce planning)
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Academic qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Organizational Psychology or any other related field.

- Master's degree or equivalent in or equivalent in any relevant discipline for bank (Preferred)
-Certifications from SHRM / CIPD preferred

Required languages

  • English (Mandatory)
  • Arabic (Preferred) French (Preferred)

Minimum number of years and nature of experience
5-8 years of relevant experience in Human Resources, ideally in HR Partnership in multilateral institutions
