SECTION I: JOB PURPOSE:

This role is responsible for implementing ITFC’s corporate communications strategies and plans in order to reinforce the organization’s brand image across member countries. This will include designing and implementing the integrated corporate communications campaigns planned during the year along four central themes: Event Management, Public Relations, Development of Marketing Collateral and Website Maintenance. 

SECTION II: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implementing the Corporate Marketing and Public Relations strategy in a manner that reinforces the strategic priorities of the organization and builds visibility around ITFC’s proposition as a catalyst and facilitator of trade across member countries.

  • Plan, develop, direct, and maintain a strategic communications, public relations, and external relations program for ITFC. Builds and fosters relationships with media, business and industry partners, and major stakeholders to obtain their support of ITFC.

  • Identify the characteristics of diverse target audiences and determine the most effective communications techniques for reaching and motivating these groups for maximum support of ITFC programs, services, and activities.

  • Liaising with international event providers in order to obtain intimations about upcoming events in the trade finance as well as development finance space. Providing input to the Head Corporate Marketing to develop an event calendar by identifying special events which ITFC can participate in or sponsor to build visibility around its mission in the region.

  • Implementing the promotional events identified for the year in coordination with relevant departments, by articulating the concept design, building the promotional material required, soliciting participation from the target audience and liaising with 3rd party vendors to coordinate the logistical arrangements.

  • Ensuring that the ITFC brand proposition is leveraged in key visibility initiatives, in order to reinforce the brand values, image and recall among the target audience.

  • Evaluating and identifying media partners from varied channels and forging long-term relationships to implement the marketing and communications activities of the organization.

  • Coordinating with relevant 3rd parties, such as creative agencies, event organizers and other vendors for marketing the media selected in order to implement marketing and communications initiatives smoothly.

  • Directs the development and editing of various publications, including news releases, feature articles, news stories, postings, reports, and other communications which highlight the goals, objectives, policies, programs, activities and accomplishments of ITFC, its management and staff for dissemination to print and broadcast media sources, social media and web based sources, the general public, and specialized target groups.

  • Liaising with the Copywriter for content finalization, and undertaking graphics design in a manner that is consistent with the branding and communication guidelines of the organization.

  • Managing corporate public relations and publications released in the public domain, including news announcements and press releases, by ensuring accuracy of information and leveraging these means to position ITFC as a pioneering player in trade promotion and facilitation across member countries.

  • Leading the development of all corporate communication material, such as marketing brochures, the ITFC Annual Report and other publications by undertaking graphics design, obtaining copy and scripts from the ITFC Copywriter and liaising with advertising agencies, where required.

  • Managing ITFC online portal and all digital platforms, as part of reinforcing ITFC online brand visibility.

SECTION IV: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Graduation from a recognized four-year college or university, with a degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related field. A master's degree or post graduate certification in the aforementioned disciplines is desirable.

Language Skills:

  • English is compulsory

  • Arabic and French are preferable
