Role Purpose:

To provide support on day-to-day activities related to Projects/Treasury operations (disbursements, collections, monitoring of overdues and preparing related reports), and create all SWIFT payments and confirmation messages.

Key Functional Accountabilities and Activities:

Disbursements: 

  • Track and maintain control over upcoming projects/treasury disbursements and initiate their payment request.
  • Generate and obtain approval for the Treasury Deals (derivatives, placements, financing) exchanged forms in accordance to the signed agreements.
  • Follow up with Treasury counterparts on the existing and new deals.
  • Maintain and organize record in hard/soft files for every payment executed and schedules exchanged.

Repayments/Collections:

  • Regular monitoring of ICD’s bank accounts and capture the collected amounts in the system.
  • Generate and obtain approval for the Treasury Deals (derivatives, placements, financing.) exchanged forms in accordance to the agreements.
  • Generate repayment schedule for each disbursement and for any subsequent rescheduling agreement.
  • Generate repayment invoices.
  • Send reminders to clients for repayment.
  • Maintain and organize record in hard/soft files for every receipt and schedules exchange.
  • Report on cash collection and overdues related to the portfolio. 

System:

  • Prepare/Verify SWIFT messages.
  • Analyse SWIFT messages and Distribute SWIFT messages to related Departments.
  • Daily reconciliation on SWIFT messages and reports.
  • Resolve counterparties complaints and inquiries on timely manner.
  • Follow up on outstanding transactions.
  • Generate Payment Instructions and Receiving Instructions in the system.
  • Generate the repayment schedule for each disbursement.
  • Generate settlements in the system for the receipts and payments.
  • Update the system with the applicable floating rate and approved rescheduling for required deals.
  • Coordinate with IT department to solve system issues and generate reports

Reports:

  • Generate Overdue, disbursement, collection and approval reports.
  • Generate other reports.

Qualifications/ Professional Experience:

  • At least 1 year(s) of experience in banking environment / financial institutions preferably in Back Office Treasury and SWIFT Operations is a must.
  •  Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Banking or similar discipline is a must.
  • A professional certificate in Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Management Accounting (CMA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or any additional relevant professional certifications is a must.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of SWIFT operations.
  • Good Understanding of operational risk in Banking sector, KYC and corresponding banking.
  • Ability to demonstrate high responsibility and Integrity.

Language Skills:

  • Capable of communicating in two of the working languages (Arabic, English and French) of which English is a must and Arabic is an added advantage.
