JOB PURPOSE::

Lead in the timely and effective delivery of IsDB’s digital strategy across its own channels including the websites and social media platforms to enhance the brand of IsDB, its leadership and its services. Coach, mentor and develop the team to boost the employee engagement level that will lead to achieving the strategic objectives of IsDB.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Participate in the development of strategy, budget and business plans for the Marketing Division.
  • Contribute to the development of Marketing Division’s policies and procedures in alignment with the IsDB’s strategic objectives and global best practices and ensure that every stakeholder follows the same.
  • Ensure effective management of IsDB’s social media channels, including community engagement, reactive enquiries and feedback.
  • Lead the planning for social activity calendar, proactively identifying opportunities and developing new ideas.
  • Review, manage and upload contents to the digital channels to ensure a steady drumbeat of new content.
  • Develop a growth strategy for IsDB’s social media channels to increase engagement and reach.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with other colleagues in marketing and communications to advise on digital activations and opportunities, drawing on global best practice.
  • Lead the reporting and measurement of IsDB’s digital performance in order to better understand, evaluate and assess IsDB’s digital strategy on a regular basis.
  • Keep abreast with the latest trends in digital marketing area and share with colleagues and explore how IsDB can optimize performance by harnessing new and emerging platforms or tactics.
  • Support the Marketing Manager in fostering a high-performing team culture within the Marketing Division.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Support the Division Manager in managing the performance and resources of the Division through delegation of authority, setting stretch objectives and providing regular feedback on results at a department level, promptly addressing areas of underperformance.
  • Monitor and assess the skills and capabilities of the Division, and determine the actions needed to increase the Division's impact.
  • Support filling in key capability gaps through capacity development and recruiting efforts.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop the direct reports and the top talent/high potential staff.
  • Act as a role-model for the Division’s staff in issues related to IsDB's values and leadership competencies and provide direction and support in times of change.

 

Job Requirements:

Academic and professional qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field with a specialisation in Digital / Virtual Communication. Master’s degree would be preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a global organisation or business, with demonstrated success, of which minimum 3 years in a managerial / supervisory role.
  • Proven experience of designing and delivering a successful creative campaign, with measurable success.
  • Proven experience of designing and delivering a successful media marketing campaigns.
  • Experience of working on a range of major global corporate brands.
  • Must have excellent digital skills with thorough understanding of web design.
  • Deep interest in keeping up with digital trends that can positively impact our business

Skills & Necessary Knowledge::

  • Results-driven with a strong track record in measuring and evaluating digital-first and integrated campaigns.
  • Digital native with exceptional understanding of the digital landscape and latest trends in digital marketing including new opportunities.
  • Self-starter with ability to hit the ground running.
  • Web editing and video skills desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of HTML/JavaScript and, paid and SEO
  • Interest in global development.
  • MS Office and presentation skills
